In 1978 Manilow performed 15 shows at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles for more than 72,000 fans. The event was documented on HBO’s two-hour special entitled “Barry Manilow: In Concert – The Legendary 1978 Concert at The Greek Theatre,”which captured the momentous occasion at the outset of his distinguished career. Since those unprecedented shows, Manilow has performed in front of millions of fans around the world and made his last Greek Theatre appearance in 1999.
This June, Manilow will return to the legendary venue with three unforgettable nights, performing favorites from his extensive catalog of music including classics such as "Copacabana," "Mandy," "Even Now," "This One's For You," "Weekend In New England," "I Write The Songs," and "Tryin' To Get The Feelin' Again," among others.
A Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony® Award-winner, Manilow has sales of more than 80 million records worldwide. He is ranked as the top Adult Contemporary chart artist of all time, according to R&R (Radio & Records), with no less than 25 consecutive Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1975 and 1983.
In addition to releasing over 40 albums, Manilow has also raised millions of dollars through his Manilow Music Project. In response to drastic budget cuts in arts programs across the U.S., the Manilow Music Project is keeping the music alive by ensuring that middle school and high school students have instruments in their hands to use in their music classes.
